Аннотация: Political communications is one of the most mobile spheres, reflects the changes happening in society and allows to understand the nature of socio-political transformations more deeply. The essence and the specificity of sociocultural approach to the analysis of political communication are described in this book. Sociocultural aspect of the research of political communication examines culture, its elements, categories, and values as factors of the first importance for the mechanisms of political activity and interaction. Such sociocultural elements as a myth, a ritual, a political spectacle and a political show that penetrate into modern social awareness and play a key role in the social and political interaction are investigated in this research. The tendencies of mythologization and theatricalization are inherent in modern political communication. The analysis should help shed some light on the sociocultural dimension of political communication, and should be useful to professionals and anyone else who may be considering in fields of Communications, Politics, Culture and Sociology.
