The emergence of women leaders in Egypt has begun in force, fulled by the revolutions, uprisings and the current condition of the country. The demonstrations and protests during the Revolution lead to Egyptian women emerging as leaders and liberators. The book attempts to shed light on the factors that contribute to women in Egypt obtaining leadership positions. The Revolution in Cairo and the protest in Tahrir Square not only ousted Egypt's former president Hosni Mubarak, but also provided an opportunity for the country's women to fight for equal rights at a time that was an important part of history. The Revolution and new movements in Egypt see women emerging and engaging in leadership roles. Prior to the uprisings in Egypt, women were less likely to occupy positions of authority, management positions, and supervisory roles.
