African Oral Traditions as Requirements for Peace and Education.

      Аннотация: The author provides an intellectual exercise in which the good fruits of interdisciplinarity are borne. The book carefully exploits proverbial lore from a typical African society to discuss the ever crucial concerns of peace and education in a world where educational development and peace building are yet to be brought to the fore. Underpinned by workable aspects of the postmodern theoretical frame and psychological theories of Kohlberg and Piaget, an analysis of indigenous artistic productions can make penetrating and useful comments in educational development and peace building in Africa. Indeed, a true indication that the time tested and intergenerational wisdom of Africa continues to find a niche in current global concerns.
