Аннотация: This book is useful for field of Agronomy in agriculture science especially for the field experiment. A research was carried out on medium black soil at Khapat, Porbandar (Gujarat) during rabi seasons of 2013-14 and 2014-15 to assess the effect of drip irrigation and fertigation levels on cumin. There were twelve treatment combinations comprising of three drip irrigation regimes (0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 FPE) as main plot treatments along with four levels of fertigation as sub plot treatments viz., 50%, 75%, 100% and 125% RDF. The experiment was laid out in split plot design with three replications. This book also showed that drip irrigation scheduling at 0.8 FPE enhanced growth parameters, yield attributes with higher harvest index, oil yield and content and uptake of NPK and water use efficiency, and ultimately increased seed and stover yields over drip irrigation scheduling at 0.6 FPE. Economic analysis showed that higher net returns from cumin can be obtained by irrigating the crop through drip irrigation at 0.8 FPE with lateral spacing of 60 cm and dripper spacing of 37.5 cm with discharge of 4 L hr-1 and fertigation with 125% RDF in five equal splits at 15 day interval.

Sugarcane is being a giant crop producing huge quantity of biomass generally demands higher amount of water and nutrients. Inadequate water supply during critical stages of cane causes irreversible reduction in yield. Sub surface drip system is potentially more efficient in arid and semi-arid regions of India because it provides water directly to...

Drip Irrigation and Fertigation on Mulberry Cultivation. Irrigation Scheduling, Water saving and Cost economics.

Crop production suffers mainly from the availability of water, which is the most critical factor in the agricultural scenario. Further unscientific use of the available irrigation water compounds the problems in crop production. As water is becoming increasingly scarce, adoption of drip irrigation system offers potential for bringing nearly double...
