Natural Resources Management Dynamics. A Study from West Sumatra - Indonesia

      Аннотация: This book shows how cross-scale institutional linkages, between national and local institutions, and their dynamics effect to livelihood of household within the context of integrated watershed management. Local responses to the changing policy at national level regarding natural resources management, such as decentralization and macroeconomic structural adjustment, were studied through changes in local institutions for forest and water resources management at the community level and changes in livelihood at the household level. Local responses to those changes effect to the sustainability of livelihood itself as well as the sustainability of the watershed. This book also comes with indicators to assess management performance on the basis of environmental, economic, social and institutional sustainability.
