      Аннотация: Oil and Political Economy of Conflicts in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria is a books that discusses the issue relating to resource induced conflict in Nigeria. It highlights the contradictions between class interests and the distribution of resources in a society. Over the years, the Nigerian state has been contending with the challenges of ethnic youth militias' struggle for control of oil resources in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The conflict has certainly affected the economy of Nigerian state and oil transnational companies through loss of substantial revenue. Also, the conflict has created social, economic and political instability in Nigeria. To this extent, the Nigerian state has been adopting different palliative measures to calm the youth militias so as to restore normalcy to the area.
