Postcolonial Theory and Literary Imagination.

      Аннотация: Postcolonial critical studies acknowledge the historical differences among colonized and encourage a global procedure that challenges imperial domination. Postcolonial studies deal with the impact of colonization on the experience of the colonized, a procedure of subjugation in European advancement around the world. Colonialism is not only an act of annexing territorial space but has a strategic ideological posture where various forms of knowledge were dominated. The reconfiguration of identity that postcolonial theory puts forward is neither impartial nor disengaged from its subject but connected and oppositional at the same time because such a deconstruction is radical to recognize in perceiving that identity is ‘fluid’ and ‘alter.’ Postcolonial literature conveys, challenges and subverts imperial ideologies and representations. The literature of the colonially marginalized expresses resistance and reversal to negotiate a critical investigation into the specific oppressive historical event.
