Аннотация: Until today, so many hazardous situations aroused where evacuation was a major (or the only) life-saving measure. Evacuation orders have been assigned in various forms by authorities. But with ever-increasing populations and bigger city areas, developing a comprehensive evacuation planning model and execution system has become necessary. Data Analytics, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and digital inclusion have opened doors for further development in almost every industry and proved as a game-changing factor. Now is the time to extend ICT services to evacuation planning also. There are many factors to be considered and discussed to implement advanced data analytics and traffic network optimization in evacuation modeling and execution of it. This book focuses on developing one such optimization model 'Escape the Hurry', that is suitable for a rural or urban area of any size under disaster-threat. The model is intrinsically structured to make an intelligent shelter/evacuation decision, design optimized evacuation schedule to minimize evacuation time, and select shortest route for successful execution of the significant life-saving process.
