      Аннотация: Nowadays there is a high need for communication among peoples the world over. Different nations need to open the channels of cultural communication for more understanding that solves and reduces the problems and disparities among nations and countries. Yet, literature is one of the mediums that can play very active and effective role in the process. This book represents a step toward that goal. It is a comparative study between African literature and British literature aiming at drawing some cultural similarities that make people closer to each other and leads them to respect human cultural, social and historical diversity.Yet,those who study or interested in English literature will find the book very useful and interesting. Also, the book aims at contributing to the process of exchange of literary experiences, human values, and ideas between Africa and Britain and to facilitate cultural understanding and underscore the role of literature to narrow the gap more towards proximity of cultures. Lastly, it can be said that such books are expected to draw the peoples closer to each other and enhance global understanding; hence, contributing to the spread of peace the world over.
