Аннотация: This work undertakes to present the situation of Tanzania on the legal protection of electronic commerce transactions. Electronic commerce (hereafter referred as ‘e-commerce’) and electronic business (hereafter referred as ‘e-business’) are among the most potential of those applications which are capable of offering new ways to participate in global markets. It is widely accepted that information and communications technologies (hereafter referred as ‘ICT’) are at the centre of an economic and social transformation that is affecting all countries. ICT and globalization have combined to create a new economic and social landscape. They have brought fundamental changes in the way enterprises and economies in general. The general purpose of this book is to address the issue of the e-commerce transaction and how is protected or controlled in Tanzania. Instruments regarding the protection of e-commerce will be discussed in brief in order to indicate how other organisations such as UN and EU deal with e-commerce. And finally, this work will provide the status of Tanzania so far and the effective ways to be taken accordingly.
