Аннотация: WHO Constitution, Alma Ata and Consensus of the WHO collaborating Centres in Occupational Health (OH) reiterated the importance of preventing occupational diseases & safety issues and have emphasized upon the primary health care model for the purpose. World Organisation of Family Physicians and International Commission on Occupational Health have jointly took a pledge “to work with other organizations to address the gaps in services for the health and safety of workers and to integrate OH in the primary care setting.” Informal Industry in this book refers to the following occupations: Farmers, fishermen, animal husbandry, beedi rolling, building /construction, tannery, artisans, salt pans; brick kilns, stone quarries, saw & oil mills, Toddy tappers, scavengers, loaders, drivers, Midwives, home workers, barbers, pavement vendors, and such other unorganised occupations. Indian Association of Occupational Health, seized of the fact that Informal Industry has 90% of total workforce & is boosting economy but is deprived of Health & Safety Care, has started a Crusade to offer BOHS via Primary Care Ecosystem.
