      Аннотация: The colour of the tooth plays an important role in the beauty and personality of an individual. The most frequent reasons for seeking dental treatment or care are discoloured teeth. Esthetically motivated patients are more likely to undergo routine preventive dental care and realize the value of keeping their teeth healthy. A basic understanding of the elements of tooth colour is important for many aspects of restorative and aesthetic dentistry. Dental practitioners should have an understanding of the aetiology of tooth discoloration in order to make a diagnosis and enable the appropriate treatment to be carried out.
