Аннотация: During the Ukrainian crises in 2014 media debuted a new role in world affairs. Since then, the world is witnessing an information era that is captured hostage of a spin machinery that tries to weaponize media and design news in such a way as to possess the public's mind. The war of information that we have recently seen has shifted conflict to a new dimension where ideological confrontation prevails over physical or armed conflict, and rhetoric is protracted beyond diplomatic means of communication. In this information warfare, Russia perfectly hijacked news to the west by creating a news situation out of another one, which gave Russia more coverage to present its viewpoint to the western media and audience. Russia’s domestic system of information manipulation went global, and not only it disrupted western narratives but it also kept the viewers hooked and distracted. This book explores the Russian media’ conspiratorial approach to get news into the western media' agenda.
