Аннотация: The book describes the importance of biofilm formation among urinary catheterized patients and association with resistant of antibiotics ability to be emerging medical cases which should be finding a solution or treatment to terminate this problem utterly. Biofilm is aggregate of microorganisms such as bacteria and attachment to biotic surface which protected by an extracellular polymer matrix composed of polysaccharides and extracellular DNA and it has widespread implications in the medical field According to reporting agency of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) which estimate the rate of bacterial infection associate with biofilm formation were 65% of all infections while the National Institutes of Health (NIH) estimate at 80%. Due to increase use of a medical advices at high rate, the rate of opportunistic infections lead to biofilm also Increased, such of them are pacemaker, Prosthetic valves, endotracheal tubes, intravenous and urinary catheter. Bacteria can adhere to medical advice surface by flagella protein, type IV pili, surface adhesion or by chemical and physical interaction and display alteration in phenotype, growth rates, metabolic activity, gene expression, etc.
