Factors affecting women entrepreneurs access to financial services. Challenges, conclusions and recommendations

      Аннотация: Women entrepreneurs access to financial services has been improving over the past few years, even with this, women entrepreneurs in the rural areas are yet to fully access financial services. Little research has been done in regard to this topic, this book therefore provides an insight to the factors that hinder women entrepreneurs living in the rural areas from accessing financial services and solutions to the challenges.Women entrepreneurs’ access to financial services is crucial to the economic development and growth in a particular area. They need to have access to financial services to make their work easier regarding saving, investing and even insuring their businesses against disasters like the fire that can lead to many losses. Accessing financial services for the women entrepreneurs improves their living standards and reduces economic dependency of individuals, husbands, families and even groups. It is a fundamental aspect towards poverty reduction and development of a particular area since it opens up employment opportunities, attracts both local and foreign investors, leads to the development of infrastructure and economic growth.
