A Gyst on Traditional and Modern Cremation Ceremony in Nepal.

      Аннотация: Cultural aspects in Nepal is deeply structured by Hinduism and almost all the ritual, function and ceremonial rites are carried out with distinct and patterned way of tradition that resembles a vivid and unique identity of Hinduism, while it evicts the scientific and logical reasoning of the function carried accordingly. One of the essential rituals in life for a follower of Hindu Religion is Cremation process. Within Hindu community in Nepal, the ritual of cremation process is traditionally followed by burning the dead body within an open pyre. The main purpose of the cremation practice is to purify and free the soul from the body of the deceased to secure a safe journey to heaven. With the initiation of Electric Crematorium at Pashupatinath Area, the related authority has introduced with the modern process of Cremation using electricity over wood.
