Аннотация: The book deals with the study of the socio-economic institutions of ancient, medieval and modern India received the attention of scholars and historians. It focused on the social environment and the economic patterns that were confined to the age of the Kakatiyas of Warangal who ruled the Andhra Pradesh forever three centuries i.e., A.D. 1000 to A.D. 1325. Social structure of the Kakatiya age. The Kings and Samartas, at least in principle, protected the Varnasrama – dharma, Social milieu in relation to Justice, learning and education. The economic structure in general and that of the agrarian economy in particular the types of irrigation works, classification of the land, the crops and grown on wet-land and dry-land. The geographical and historical factors that played a vital part in the development of mercantile and maritime activities in the pre- Kakatiya and post Kakatiya periods are taken into consideration. A large number of inscriptions records and grant of a plots of land, Villages, Cattle and also the income accrued from tolls and taxes by the Kings, Queens, Feudatory Chiefs of various ranks and wealthy individuals to the Brahmans temples, secular institutions, etc.
