Evidence-based verdict on occlusal treatments for muscle & joint TMDs. A Systematic review and meta analysis

      Аннотация: There's no gain without pain, but some pain have not a single gain! We are all familiar with the nasty tension and soreness of head and neck muscles, or the noisy grinding pain of the two joints driving all our oral functions. Such hereditary or acquired disorders slow down our abilities and ambitions in life. Adding insult to injury, they are reluctant to vanish with a simple procedure, if not feeding on our daily stress that complicates the symptoms with bruxism. Strong relations are drawn between these Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) and the dental occlusion conditions, which led to the ubiquitous use of debatable occlusal therapies (oral splints and occlusal adjustments) to alleviate the symptoms.
