Аннотация: This study was conducted in a bid to diagnose the impact of entrepreneurship promotion in poverty reduction with a reference to entrepreneurs supported by Banque Populaire du Rwanda SA branch of Muhima. Poverty has seen the primary concern in developing country especially in Sub Saharan Africa Rwanda included. Many strategies have been used to reduce it. By providing access to financial services, entrepreneurship promotion has a great impact in the fight against poverty. The main objective of this study was to analyze the impact of entrepreneurship promotion in poverty reduction. To lay a background to the study, relevant literature on entrepreneurship promotion activities and their impact to poor people was reviewed. Primary and secondary data were collected for analysis. Data were collected through the use of questionnaires, interviews and judgmental sampling and simple random sampling techniques were used to draw a sample of entrepreneurs supported by this bank. The analysis and interpretation of findings found out that the impact of entrepreneurship promotion is to reduce poverty through job creation. Furthermore, it has contributed significantly to people welfare.
