Quality Evaluation Of Ground Water And Soil In Coastal Andhra Region. Water Quality and Soil Treatment Process in Coastal and Rural Area Of Andhra Pradesh, India

      Аннотация: In the context of hydrological problems like flooding due to cyclones, drinking water scarcity due to problem of salt water intrusion especially in coastal areas, in particular north coastal districts viz., Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh the present study, has significance by focusing on the chemical characterization of ground water and soil in the nearby areas of streams located in Kalingapatnam, Konada and Uppada of north coastal districts viz., Srikakulam, Viziaanagaram and Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh joining the mouth of Bay of Bengal. Since countable habitations with active human life have been existing, the present research results will become an indicator for ground water quality which is being consumed by the public for drinking, irrigation and domestic purposes. The analytical data related to the soil also indicate the extent of soil ill health and its quality for utilization to carryout agricultural activities in the study areas. Finally the research study results become a key indicator for the evaluation of water and soil quality and the degree of salt water intrusion into the groundwater sources in the study area.
