Аннотация: This study was aimed at ascertaining staff motivation and job satisfaction among junior staff of Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), in Cross River State. Five research questions were posed which were later transformed into five research hypotheses, formulated to guide this study. A staff motivation and job satisfaction questionnaire was constructed and used for data collection. The Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis and the t-test independent analysis were used to test the hypotheses. However, from the result of findings, it was realized that staff welfare and participatory decision making are significantly related to job satisfaction, salary package had a significant influence on job satisfaction that is, high salary had more influence on job satisfaction than low salary; staff promotion had a significant influence on job satisfaction and finally, that staff training does not influence on job satisfaction. Based on these findings, useful recommendations were made to university authorities, government, and all stakeholders in the education enterprise.
