It is important we take into consideration the human health as well as the environmental aspect in our search to provide product and services. This book showcases the advantages of environmental procurement practices in the United Kingdom public sector. It shows us how the UK government maximized gain in the public sector through the inclusion of the environmental procurement process by using it to create new opportunities for diversification of the economy, as well as a tool to fighting climate change. The book also explores other opportunities that the under-developed countries, such as Nigeria can take advantage of in order to build a viable and strong economic development, through the inclusion of environmental considerations as part of the procurement process when developing or selecting products and services.
