Economic Integration in East Africa : The Case Of Ethiopia and Kenya.

      Аннотация: This study is the first in its kind to identify major policy areas (trade, security, roadways and power) that have been speeding up the integration efforts of both Ethiopia and Kenya. As a case study, the findings of this research may serve as a model for other countries or regional organizations across Africa to discern their problems and find effective means of integration. Regional Economic groupings are believed to be the building blocks of Continental integration.The Book gives an insight into the significance of integration since the current global trend is in favor of the creation of regional economic groupings. In order to curb balkanization, neo-colonialism, underdevelopment and the adverse effects of globalization, Pan Africanist scholars prescribe economic integration. It is a means to put an end to civil war, drought, famine, mal-administration, corruption, ethnic conflicts, and all other forms of development hassles in the continent. Integration is a vehicle to a freer, safer, and more prosperous Africa.
