Аннотация: Odontogenic keratocyst is one of commonest encountered cystic dental pathology and is associated with a well-defined syndrome, the Naevoid Basal Cell Carcinoma Syndrome. It is known for its high recurrence rate and multi-focal nature. It's classification as an odontogenic tumor and then back again as a cyst has put this aggressive lesion back to the discussion table. This book lends thorough information of this lesion's demographics, site predilection, other clinical presentations, radiographic features, and the final histopathology will aid in the subsequent complete treatment and follow-up by the dental surgeons. A note on the genetic basis of keratocyst and PTCH gene has been included for an insight into its origins and pathogenesis.
