      Аннотация: This volume has a detailed coverage on all the important aspects of the pest. The eggplant fruit and shoot borer is known as the most fearsome pest of the crop and in prime growing regions, it is the key pest. This pest alone can cause devastations if suitable measures are not timely adopted. Its infestation leads to deterioration of both quality and quantity of this popular vegetable. FAO and AVRDC documents show that the crop consumes huge quantity of synthetic organic pesticides and the frequency of application has been noted to be as high as one hundred and forty. This directly impacts the crop ecosystem and unsettles the homeostasis apart from the unintended non-target impacts and impact on the cost of protection.
