It comprises of methods like scaling and root planing, host modulation, systemic and local drug delivery . Newer methods such as LASERS, Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Photodynamic therapy, Ozone therapy etc warrant furthur research and can prove to be the future of non surgical periodontal therapy.
