Аннотация: The main objective of the study is to examine the “Adoption of Technology and Innovation among SHG Women Beneficiaries for life-style Management. The present study was under taken in rural areas of Chittoor District in Andhra Pradesh. Using purposive stratified random sampling technique the SHGs were selected for the study. The total sample selected for the study consisted of 500 Self-Help Group women beneficiaries. Majority of the respondents belonged to the lower socio – economic strata. However, by joining the SHG‘s most of them were trying to improve their quality of life. High proportion of the SHG beneficiaries reported that their position and stature has improved after joining the Self Help Group. Group sharing and interactions were directing them towards positive action. The respondents indicated that even though they were interested in using it, the technology was not always available and when it was available, the price would not within the reach of most SHG women. Majority of these labour-saving machines were under-utilised in rural areas. Availability at lower prices would enable the technologies within the reach of the rural people.
