Аннотация: The support to meet the demand by various domestic animal and fish from natural waters and aquaculture has so far failed to provide mos African countries especially those within the Sub-Saharan with the balance diet needed. It is imperative therefore to increase protein production, first by intensifying the existing means of production; and secondly by the introduction and development of additional source of protein from game (wildlife). The domestication of the grasscutter has been particularly popular in West African sub-region where bush meat is an important dietary item.Rearing of grasscutters has become important because of the quality of its meat. It is considered a delicacy by both the rich and the poor and the most popular and perhaps the most expensive.Although grasscutter farming has became popular in The West African sub-region, their growth performance is very low, due to inadequate supply of balance diets. The book therefore provides a formulation of diets from plant origin combined with some commercial ingredients to be pelleted into feed for grasscutters in captivity to improve on their growth and production performance.
