Аннотация: Purpose – This study explores acculturation and Food Habits among International students at Famagusta, EMU–North Cyprus. There is a limited research on international students’ acculturation regarding food and eating habits especially in EMU. So therefore the purpose of this article is to evaluate the international student’s perception on food acculturation in the university. Design/methodology/approach –This research is a qualitative methodology. A semi-structure in depth interview was conducted with (10) international students from different nationalities namely: Nigeria, Iran, Zimbabwe, Russia, Turkmenistan, Gambia, Zambia, Burkina Faso, India and Ghana at the Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus. Data collected from the interview that was conducted through Audio recorded and transcribed verbatim , the transcription was coded according to themes and analyzed. Findings –.Findings revealed that the main foods that the participants consumed in their home country where traditional foods, which were freshly prepared and limited frozen and processed foods. The international Students also revealed that, food is cooked by parents on a daily basis and also healthier.
