Аннотация: In 2016 the Yerevan State University Center of Applied Psychology (Armenia), with the support of the Open Society Foundations - Armenia, has undertaken the development of the "Palliative Psychology" interdisciplinary academic training. Psychological support is represented in palliative care on several levels: on one hand, the presence of the psychologist in the team plays a primary role and, on the other hand, all members of the team should have certain knowledge and skills to build effective communications with the patient and to provide support. Therefore, this training is meant not only for psychologists, but also all other specialists involved in the sphere of palliative care. The "Palliative Psychology" training aims to introduce the main concepts, methods and scope of work of palliative psychology, provide relevant knowledge, skills and approaches of working in the palliative care team and providing psychological support to patients, as well as to clarify the role of the psychologist in the team.
