Аннотация: The dramatic amount of news circulating on social media networks have raised the researchers’ attention towards unveiling its truth. The present study is concerned with the involvement of the American press media coverage in Donald Trump’s political campaign for the presidency, so it endeavors to review the extent to which the American printing press was significant to Donald Trump’s presidential title. Before examining whether the American press media coverage is considered a condemnation or an endorsement of Trump’s campaign, it has been necessary to study the media institutions that shed light on the matter so that one can have some notions before heading to the analysis of the newspapers’ articles and editorials. In effect, this dissertation relies on Critical Discourse Analysis and Media Studies as theories. The study is conducted on the basis of their application on articles and editorials taken from different American newspapers. New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, National Enquirer, Las Vegas Review-Journal and New York Observer have been used as case studies. Findings emerged framing the ideologies, personal standpoints and political opinionated views.
