Аннотация: This study was conducted to examine the role of the arbuscular mycorrhiza fungus (AMF), Glomus deserticola (Trappe.) on growth, flower quality, gas exchange status, water relations and some other physiological parameters of Taif rose “Rosa x damascena trigintipetala” plants grown under different levels of water stress. The experiment was conducted under an environmentally controlled greenhouse at the Research Experimental Station of the Plant Production Department, College of Food and Agricultural Sciences, King Saud University in Dirab region, Riyadh. Four levels of water stress of 100, 75, 50 and 25% Field Capacity “F.C.” were used. Several growth, flowering and physiological parameters were measured to evaluate the potential effects of the AMF inoculation on Taif rose plants grown under different levels of the water stress. The growth parameters of the plant shoot and root fresh and dry weights, plant height, leaf area and number of leaves were measured. Moreover, to evaluate the quality of the Taif rose flowers; the flower fresh and dry weights, number of flowers and flower diameter were recorded.
