Organic food production : A solution for food safety problems.

      Аннотация: This book will be useful for students of agriculture, agronomy, scientists, agronomists, organic farmers, development professionals, and other allied professionals. Safety of the food is extremely vital due to indiscriminate and imbalanced use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers have depleted our soil and polluted our environment. On the other hand, shortage of chemical fertilizers and its skyrocketing prices in the recent past due to price rise in raw materials and change in subsidy policies has created a precarious situation in which farmers are bound to find alternatives. Moreover, the subsidy bill of chemical fertilizers has become a huge financial burden for the governments. Therefore organic farming has emerged as the best possible alternative. People with knowledge and skills in organic farming and certification will have good demand for finding solutions to the world food security problems. This book focuses on adding value to the agriculture produce through organic production and certification so that producers can get premium prices in export and domestic markets.
