Management of Critical Success Factors for Offshore Software Projects. A German Perspective

      Аннотация: Revision with unchanged content. In Germany, first experiences with offshore software development were not consistently positive. Media reports of various companies, whose offshore projects could not live up to their expectations, were abundant. In order for German companies to be able to implement offshore development projects more successfully in the future, the factors which significantly influence the success of such a project need to be examined. Within a completed research project, Amberg and Wiener (2005) identified a list of 29 critical success factors for offshore software development projects from the perspective of German clients. Based on the results of this project, the book at hand aims to analyze the relevance and the management of these factors in practice by the conduction of two in-depth case studies. The goal is to create a deeper understanding of the management of the critical success factors of offshore software development projects.
