Mothers Health Seeking Behaviours in Rural Bangladesh. Women Health

      Аннотация: Malnutrition is one of the most prime problems of the world’s public health. Fully access to vaccination, proper nutrition and mothers’ behavior to existing health services have been the foremost interventions that have helped to improve the public health among the world. However, Bangladesh has achieved important gains in health sectors over the last few decades but still an enormous gap lies between rural and urban areas. In this study, an attempt has been made to assess the immunization coverage, nutritional status and mothers’ health seeking behavior in rural areas of Bangladesh using nationally representative data from Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS), 2004 for the last five years (N = 3329). The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of various socio-economic and demographic variables on immunization coverage, nutritional status and also on mothers’ health through well-known statistical tools such as chi-square test, logistic regression. Finally, the outputs of this study provide some additional suggestive policy measures that the planners and implementers may consider for quality development of the inconsistent factors.
