Аннотация: Educators working with middle and high school students likely are aware of the explosive interest and involvement of youth in such online sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace etc. These sites are a new phenomenon called social networking sites. This new technology carries much weight as a new medium for students to build social connections and grow as members of their institutions. In online social networking environments, people register and establish profiles that provide personal information and photos. Then, they make connections or links with other members who share interests or connections. This book therefore provides an insight about teachers and students knowledge about social networking sites. The book also looks at the social and academic lifestyles of the teachers and students and examines both the positive and negative effects that social networking sites cause to their lifestyles. The content of this book is specifically written to address the positive and negative sides of social networking sites and to help the students, teachers as well as administrators identify the usefulness of these online sites so as to implement them in their institutions.
