The Role of Mother Tongue Education in Early Childhood Learning. A Case Study of Bale and Madamani Primary Schools

      Аннотация: Mother Tongue is the easiest language through which each one of us can grasp concepts easily and understand the world better. Children at Bale Primary School enjoy learning new concepts in Giryama, which is their mother tongue while those from Madamani Primary school struggle in learning new concepts through a foreign language so distant from their own mother tongue. This book proves through an experiment that Mother Tongue is the best medium of instruction in early childhood learning. This book also discusses the challenges that Mother Tongue Education faces in Kenya and gives recommendations on how those challenges could be addressed.
