      Аннотация: Biodiversity plays a vital role in the economy of a particular area specially the soil, water, climatic condition, forest cover as they are the renewable resource flow as for economy. The sustainable development stresses on economic development along with the object of conservation of environment. Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the Nagaon district of Assam, India and is considered unique in terms of varied natural habitats for rich floral and faunal diversity. The economically important plants of Laokhowa wildlife Sanctuary are grouped as timber yielding plants, medicinal plants, fodder plants, wild edible vegetable plants, plants as source of fibre, dying, tanning and plants used for stupefying fishes. The economic potential of the diversity of bioresources of Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary still remains totally unexplored. This in turn will suffice the very conservation and sustainability of bioresources specially in biodiversity hot spot like north east India. This book consists of the different economically important plants of Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary.
