Аннотация: This book is about the influence of student perceptions of teacher behaviour and its implications for student behavioural management. In the eyes of the Malaysian public, student discipline in schools has deteriorated over the years and the problem has reached a crisis level and demands a serious response. Teachers and teaching have been subjected to unrelenting criticism as many social ills like juvenile delinquency and hooliganism are increasingly being related to schooling and discipline in schools. Research endeavours in student discipline and related literature in general tend to outline a multitude of factors such as student background, the peer group, living environment, parental influence, and the influence of the media, etc., as reasons for student undesirable behaviour. As students spend a considerable amount of time in schools and with teachers, this book looks at how teachers themselves could become the cause of student undesirable behaviours.
