Loading Protocols in Dental Implants.

      Аннотация: Prosthetic rehabilitation of missing structures in the oral and maxillofacial region in accordance with DeVan's principle of preservation has been the ultimate challenge to the prosthodontist. Over the years, traditional methods of tooth replacement are slowly and steadily being replaced by newer modalities like dental implants .Dental implants is a prosthetic device made of alloplastic material implanted into the oral tissues beneath the mucosal or/and periosteal layer, and on/or within the bone to provide retention and support for a fixed or removable dental prosthesis- GPT 844. The therapeutic goal of implant dentistry is not merely tooth replacement, but, total oral rehabilitation. Dental implants can be considered as a treatment option, which can provide patients with positive, long-term results. Implants have developed into a viable alternative to conventional prosthetic reconstruction of edentulous areas. They provide excellent support for fixed as well as removable prosthesis, which increases function, compared with conventional complete and partial denture prosthesis. Implant dentistry has gone through many phases over the years.
