Modern Trends in Education. Perspectives for Reform Initiatives in Georgia

      Аннотация: The book presents a collection of research articles in the field of education, education leadership, management and administration, assessment of learning, and the English language teaching methodology. The works highlight various burning issues - access to education, equality and equity in education, fair distribution of resources, vocational education, quality assurance, current demands of labour market, lifelong learning, culture and gender aspects in the 21st century pedagogy, assessment, and modern approaches in English as a foreign and second language teaching and learning. All the articles present studies of the Georgian context and provide practical recommendations for reform initiatives in order to strengthen the system of education. Besides, achievement and positive practices in the field of education are explored from an international perspective. Accordingly, the book can be a valuable resources for educators and policy-makers not only in Georgia, but many developing as well as developed states.
