Air Quality Monitoring Methods with a Case Study Discussion. Calibration and Measurement Techniques of Air Pollutants

      Аннотация: It includes different methods used for measurement and calibration of PM10 and PM2.5 as well as different gaseous pollutants. It also includes methods used for the analysis of chemical composition. Air is one of the most important constituent of the nature, necessary for the survival of all forms of life on the earth. Clean air is very essential for good human health and well-being of the humanity. Due to presence of undesirable materials in the atmosphere, the ambient air quality has been progressively deteriorated and thus air pollution has become a major environmental problem for both developed and developing countries (Afros et al., 2003). Urban air pollution and its impact on the air quality is a world-wide problem which manifests itself differently in different regions depending upon the political, economical and technological developments on climate and topography as well as on the nature of the available energy sources (Lim et al.,2005).Atmospheric aerosols, also called as atmospheric particulate matter or aerosol air pollution is caused due to very small solid particles or liquid droplets that are suspended in the air.
