      Аннотация: The evidence-based (EB) approach is an uncomplicated, methodical process which aids the clinician and researcher assess the important information regarding the treatment plan of the patient including the diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and experimental decisions. Application of the Evidence based process in searching for the literature required in the decision making improves the periodontal treatment to be given.As and when if there is no evidence-based approach, the clinician should be careful in understanding the information that is acquired from clinical experience or from improperly designed studies or merely from intuition as it can be damaging and deceptive.Being scientifically sound and accurate so that unintentional or hidden bias does not affect the decision-making process is a key principle in making the best clinical decision. The decision-making process by the clinician has a great potential of errors in their conclusion as they use inductive reasoning, which does not take into consideration the determination of harm.To provide the best periodontal treatment requires correct diagnosis, providing the best treatment and following up with the patient periodically.
