Geo-environmental Resources of Andhra Pradesh, India. A Study from Ganganeru River Basin of Kadapa District

      Аннотация: Geo-environmental studies require field investigations on the physical and cultural aspects of the environment into a meaningful framework through appropriate laboratory studies for the development of land resources for human welfare, besides identifying the various environmental problems caused by abiotic and anthropogenic reasons. Such studies became possible by bridging the gap between the social sciences such as geography, planning and land use, with physical sciences such as geology, hydrology and geomorphology of the natural systems. To have a rapid holistic understanding of the environment, it became necessary to make use of modern geo-techniques. The application potential of these techniques in geo-environmental studies reveals the environmental changes such as degradation or improvement of land resources over a period of time. With these broad ideas in mind, this book is a comprehensive coverage of the suggestions by which maximum development could be achieved for the overall prosperity of the Ganganeru River Basin of Kadapa District in Andhra Pradesh, India at the same time without causing any environmental degradation.
