Аннотация: A child zebra knows its mother by studying and reading the stripes. One needs good teaching and continuous assessment to be able to deploy those high levels of competencies. Education systems are realising that assessment should play a significant role more than before in the teaching of learners. There is a radical departure from assessment of learning to assessment for learning concepts I discuss at length in the book. Educational Assessment is a very important aspect in the learning history of a candidate. Assessment should therefore be well structured and learners should increasingly be at the heart of assessment. School-based assessment is now an in-thing; a new phenomenon we cannot afford to ignore. This book only synthesises researches about best practices in classroom assessment. Classroom assessment is a key factor to the mastery of subject matter prescribed in the subject. Most teachers breached their call by resorting to teaching for test. Their teaching is meant to guide learners to master examinable material in the syllabus as dictated by the national assessment authority blue prints.
