Аннотация: Cloning, expression, production and use of recombinant Letospiral immunoglobulin like B protein is important for an early and rapid diagnosis of leptospirosis and has relative advantage with the ability to differentiate between vaccinated and infected animals. Leptospirosis is a highly infectious Zoonotic disease of worldwide distribution affecting the domestic animal species and is known to be responsible for causing fever, jaundice, haemoglobuinuria and reproductive failures such as abortion, still birth as well as birth of weak calves. The diagnosis of the disease is primarily based on serological test. The conventional technique such as microscopic agglutination test (MAT), with its inherent complexity of using hazardous live organisms for diagnosis and being serovar specific, is the most commonly employed serodiagnostic test. The test limited to be conducted in well equipped laboratories and needs a well trained expert to conduct the test. Therefore, nowadays the research on leptospirosis is directed to evolve better diagnostic assays which could be performed easily and contribute to the early diagnosis of the disease.
