Some highlighted bioactive compounds are Alkaloids, Flavonoids, Tannins, Phenolic compounds etc., whose content and properties varies from one species to different species of the same genus Ipomoea.This book has been wittingly written to explore the Medicinal value of the plants which is considered to be a weed in common and its plantation are not given much important in present world but the content of different kinds of secondary metabolites has made it very useful for the pharmaceuticals these days.Efforts have been made in order to standardize the efficient protocols of the valuable Medicinal plants of genus Ipomoea with enhanced survey of various literatures from different sources to bring out knowledge about the plant and its medicinal value to the people around the world so that the medicinal importance of the plant could be maintained & plants could be conserved.
