Аннотация: The Egyptian flora was a subject of interest for several botanists since the early of 1920’s for its exciting array of ecological habitats that are available for growth of plants, from wetlands nourished by Nile to those desert territories subjected to land reclamation. The earlier pioneer phytosociological and floristic studies on Mediterranean coastal region and Nile region dates to the early of the last century. However, till this day, the pressing need of studying sociological relationships of weed flora in various habitats continues to be debated. The objective of this work is to study diversity and floristic structure of plant life in Northwest of Delta, Egypt. On the other hand, we may not be exaggerated to say that the measurement of diversity and employment of biostatistics including multivariate analyses and ordination techniques became a part of the standard methodology in many applied fields of ecology. However, "How to interpret?" is still one of the common questions. Hopefully, this book helps a little. A total of 473 species were recorded and biostatistical techniques were employed to indicate the effect of ecological factors on variation of vegetation structure.
