      Аннотация: Gastroesophageal reflux treatment is the element that prompted the publication of this book. When treatment with medication has nothing to do with improving the patient's systemic condition, you should choose surgical treatment, either by laparoscopy, or by the open method. This particular book confronts these two methods by comparing all the constituent elements, such as the length of time a child is hospitalized, the need for antibiotics, the percentage of complications encountered by both the laparoscopy method and the open method, supporting the study data also from the data published in the literature. Our daily work is often confronted with a disease that, with its unique characteristics of therapeutic amplitude and the inclusion of many medical disciplines, is both attractive and difficult to treat. It has been seen over the years as a benign disease which with the introduction of proton pump inhibitors found the ultimate solution. But despite this increased therapeutic resource, it appears that children are in need of surgical intervention for gastroesophageal reflux. The figures are not large but what is noticeable is that they have not changed over the years.
