Аннотация: Home has been recognized as the determinant necessity for human being ethical and material improvement ever since the dawn of civilization. Housing finance is considered to be one of the basic human needs. With the slogan of “HOUSE FOR ALL BY 2022” the central government introduced a scheme called Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in the year 2017 to provide affordable housing to the poor. Owning one's place of living is a strong support that 'housing' has proved to be a multi-dimensional matter. The fast growing population, low income levels poor rate of additions to the housing stock and higher interest rates have aggravated the problem of housing. In some countries, the significance of housing can be better understood that the right to housing is a fundamental right. This study is little different from earlier studies as the economic aspects are analyzed from various perspectives with numerous factors with the help of advanced statistical tools. HDFCL is considered to be benchmark in the housing finance sector with consistency of earnings and sustainable growth rate.
